This book deserves 5 star just on sheer cheerfulness. It is vibrant with color and fresh designs and has stood the test of time that many embroidery books from the 1970's failed to do. The techniques include canvas embroidery, Florentine (flame-stitch), needlepoint, crewel and then the author gives a wealth of projects, charts, stitch diagrams and finishing ideas. It is well-balanced, pretty and extremely practical.
